Position Description
Affymetrix currently has an opening for a Research Associate II position available at our Fremont location to assist with the developing DNA/RNA based detection assays.
Position Requirements
-At least 2 years experience of developing DNA/RNA based detection assays.
- Have been involved in the development and launching of commercial kits required.
- Must have basic skills in cell culture, molecular biology suc as RT-PCR and flourescent imaging.
- Experience operating automation and robotic instrumentation in life science and drug discovery research is highly preferred.
- Experience writing standard operating procedures, standard manufacturing procedures and knowing how to transfer developed assays to manufacturing teams is highly preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work in a cross-functional team environment.
