Position Description
Participate in manufacturing of GeneChip(R) reagents. Testing critical raw material, In-process testing of bulk reagents using established procedures. Support new product introduction by ensuring that the necessary materials and computer files are available and documentation completed in time to meet project deadlines and shipping due dates. Making buffers and reagents as necessary. Maintain accurate records, summarize and report data and assist with computer-based data analysis. Must be detail oriented and highly organized. Updating documents, creating new batch records, working knowledge of QSR/GMP compliant, and JDE system helpful.
Note: This position will start in Santa Clara but move to West Sacramento in 2007
Position Requirements
Requires a BS degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field with a minimum of 1-3 years of laboratory experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related area. Experienced in using HPLC analyzing data, running gels, PCR, RT-PCR, nucleic acid purification, amplification, and hybridization technologies. Excellent communication skills including writing and speaking and the ability to work with multidisciplinary work teams are essential. Computer skills involving the analysis of large data sets, Microsoft Excel, Access Database, MRP system. Previous experience with Affymetrix GeneChip ® Microarrays is desirable.
Must be detail oriented and highly organized. Working knowledge of QSR/GMP
