STAFF SCIENTIST
Affymetrix is looking for a Staff Scientist with the Assay and Application Group within Product Development with primary responsibility in developing novel genotyping technologies and demonstrating utility for these technologies.
Position Requirements
The attributes listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required to succeed in this position:
• Ph.D. in molecular biology, molecular genetics, cell biology or related discipline. 2-4 years of postdoctoral experience (relevant experience in DNA/RNA and standard molecular biology procedures and concepts) is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability in technology innovation/development
• Strong research and publication record.
• Strong analytical/computational skills. Ability to analyze and creatively problem solve via rigorous experimental design
• Excellent organizational, computer and verbal/written communication skills.
