Description
Business Systems Analysts study the overall business and information needs of an organization, in order to develop solutions to business and related technology problems.
A Business Systems Analyst's role is usually undertaken prior to the system design, building and programming stages of the systems development process. Works closely with clients to identify business needs and the costs and benefits of implementing a computing solution. Construct IT definitions based on identified needs of the organization. Work with other IT experts to address networking and hardware needs. Devise and document a general system design based on the client's anticipated requirements. Negotiate options with the client
Must be open to flexible work schedule to remain in-step with project and organizational needs as well as to provide triage support for a 7x 24x365 environment
?This position requires traveling up to 15%
Preferred Qualifications:
? Expertise with infrastructure components ? Storage solutions(SAN, NAS), Open systems & servers, preferably AIX, some exposure to Networks, WinTel, datacenter layout.
? Business Continuity Planning, including understanding of technical configurations and system topologies to support business work flows.
? Prior experience in Enterprise suite of application infrastructure is preferred, including understanding of performance & capacity ramifications from application usage.
Prefer familiarity with data integration across applications in an Enterprise transactional and/or Decision Support systems.
? Methodology or training certifications in technology and/or Project Management
? Experience working in a matrix environment
? Consulting experience
