Job Title:Sr Business Operations Analyst Job Category:Information Tech / Sybase Req Number:20336 Location:Dublin, USA Description: As a Sr Business Operations Analyst, you will work closely with Sybase's Commission Accounting and Variable Compensation groups to assist in resolving operational and system issues. This will entail proposing/revising data structures, processing methodologies, and reporting practices.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
. Independently analyzes operational problems, completes trend / ad hoc analysis to evaluate effectiveness, and recommends solutions to improve productivity or workflow as required.
. Conceptualizes process improvements. Outlines migration, testing, and communication approaches to ensure transitions are implemented smoothly, and with adequate controls in place.
. Implements approved upgrades to Commission processing, reporting, and analysis systems.
. Interacts heavily with Commission Accounting and Variable Compensation teams, including performing administration of Sales Compensation Programs for one or more business units. Identifies issues pertaining to exceptions and brings to timely resolution.
. Works closely with cross-functional teams such as Field Operations, Shared Service Centers, the Controller's organization, and Global Business Intelligence.
Qualifications: . BS/BA with 5- 7 years of experience working with and supporting business applications.
. Strong understanding of business process re-engineering, data interaction, and change management.
. Project management proficiency.
. Detailed analytical skills, and competency in reporting applications (such as trend analysis using Business Objects) with exceptional MS Excel skills.
. Strong grasp of how data affects processing flexibility.
. Previous experience in hands-on system implementations and rollouts.
. Excellent communication skills.
. Sales compensation experience is considered a plus, as is a basic understanding of accounting principles.
. Must have ability to work effectively as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment. Must be a self-starter.
