Director of Supply Chain Management

Description
The Director of Supply Chain Management will be responsible for all operational aspects of Tethys BioScience Supply Chain Operations including procurement, supplier management, contract manufacturing management, inventory management, forecasting, shipping and receiving. He/she will work closely with Commercial and Lab Operations to monitor demand for clinical lab services and develop operation plans to acquire necessary reagents and supplies for the clinical lab in a timely fashion. He/she will also support procurement for all other Tethys groups including G&A, R&D, Clinical Research and Biostatistics. He/she will develop and implement strategies and relationships with critical supply partners and contract manufacturers to assure continuous and cost effective supply for existing PreDx products as well as support new PreDx products through development and introduction to the market. The Director of Supply Chain Management will also work with Product Development, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance functions at Tethys to identify, qualify and manage contract manufacturers under the Tethys Quality System and in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Specific responsibilities include:
* Manage all manufacturing and procurement activities including vendor selection process, quoting, purchasing planning and inventory levels, receiving function.
* Working with functional groups, develop demand forecasts and translate into manufacturing, procurement and operational plans. This includes clinical lab, R&D and all other operational groups.
* Manage the logistics function including inbound and outbound traffic.
* Develop relationships with key strategic supply partners and contract manufacturers and acts as the key contact and relationship manager for those partners.
* Develop an efficient organization to support the supply chain.
* Implement efficient, robust and compliant internal systems and processes to support the supply chain.
* Monitor and plan reagent and supply inventory for clinical lab operations.
Experience
* Experience managing supply chain systems in a FDA regulated environment
* Experience managing complex strategic supply relationships.
Skills
* MBA, relevant advanced degree or equivalent level of experience desirable
* 6+ years experience in operations management, procurement and/or manufacturing in a complex technical environment.
* Ability and knowledge to negotiate supply contracts.
