Job Summary


This role contributes to the overall development and management of Dolby’s Mobile Segment long-term strategy as well as to the shorter-term planning and execution. The candidate will help to drive the Mobile Segment’s overall business success and will be a leader in driving new product offerings to market. The initial focus will be on our emerging voice technology portfolio aimed at mobile handsets and Bluetooth mobile phone accessories but will over time take a synergistic approach to our overall offering.



The role requires a versatile experienced product marketer with significant mMobile or accessories experience and proven ability to drive new propositions to market with significant associated revenue.


This role is essential to the growth of the Mobile Segment in both reach and scale. The candidate must have a drive for new challenges, and a passion for growing the business. A global outlook and market understanding will be essential to the role.

Job Functions



    * Design a profitable roadmap for our voice portfolio

    * Contribute to the team’s eco-system strategy for audio, video and voice technology

    * Develop business plan for new propositions with ROI calculation and be accountable for business plan execution across the company

    * Develop product strategy and drive our unique differentiation:

    * Product positioning

    * Competitive assessment

    * Set pricing

    * Define and manage Go To Market plan

    * Support field and design wins

    * Define and tune market requirements and steer feedback process

    * Constantly gather information from Sales, Products & Platforms, Business Development, consumers, customers, industry and market data to develop new product ideas

    * Determine the need for market research

    * Develop forecasting and market models

    * Build relationships with the global Dolby offices and mobile community


Sr. Product Marketing Manager, Mobile



    * Minimum of 7 years of experience in Mobile phone or accessories product marketing in the mobile industry with demonstrated revenue growth track record

    * Demonstrated experience in developing, launching and driving mobile propositions to handset or accessories vendors orand mobile phone operators

    * Experience in embedded voice communication technologies is a must, exposure to voice technologies and Experience with voice propositions and mobile entertainment technologies is a plus

    * Skills required: owning a business cases, launching profitable new products, managing go-to-market plans including comprehensive pricing models, developing new business models, building out product roadmaps, interacting with customers and partners

    * Ability to work without supervision in the field, and to deal professionally with customers and partners at all levels

    * Ability to collaborate in cross-functional with diverse teams and to build strong network of contacts and communications both inside and outside of Dolby

    * Proven problem solving skills.

    * Strong oral, written, organizational and presentation skills

    * Domestic and international travel required

    * BA or BS degree in Marketing, Business or appropriate technical discipline, MBA a plus
