The Situation and Position
Tiburon is enjoying a tremendous surge in growth initiatives and has actively emphasized talent acquisition and management over the last several months, with new hires in sales, marketing and customer service businesses, in addition to aggressively growing across infrastructure. Our company is embarking on a re-branding initiative that will promote greater expansion regionally and nationally. Furthermore, these initiatives will enhance business platforms, enter new verticals, increase risk awareness and upgrade process and technology.
The Director of Sales will work closely with VP of Sales creating and executing strategies and business development efforts to increase revenue and brand equity of Tiburon. This position is responsible for identifying, managing strengthening and growing the market space, closing new business, and building awareness of Tiburon in the market. This individual will oversee the overall outbound sales team nationwide. They will be familiar with sales, marketing and communications and will lead the development of new client relationships, acting as an account advisor and/or senior level authority in dealings with the client C suite. This position requires extensive travel.
Specific Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Lead sales organization through defined and measurable performance objectives.
- Drive, plan and execute the sales of Tiburons software, products and services to new and existing clients.
- Effectively present and articulate advanced product features, benefits and overall product solutions, specifically, communicating how companys solution can uniquely solve the customers problems and add value.
- Manage and mentor the sales team and individual performance.
- Demonstrate strong account management and negotiating skills with each opportunity.
- Rapidly and effectively qualify new sales opportunities and close forecasted business in a timely fashion.
- Coordinate efforts within the company and its parent company to meet sales goals.
- Lead sales effort in market space and support companys strategic alliance efforts. Track and analyze campaigns to determine results and effectiveness; follow new sales leads from beginning to end in an accurate and timely manner while supporting Tiburons goals and values
- Participate in on-site client visits, accompanying staff on sales calls to client sites and review and approve selected client communications (e.g., major proposals, direct mail copy, problem resolution correspondence, etc.)
- Accountable for continual prospecting activities to include significant efforts in cold calling; participate in annual trade shows
- Develop and implement strategic business plans that include program objectives, strategies, timelines and identification of recommendations for new service offerings
- Demonstrate and articulate a working understanding of Tiburons technology architecture.
- Analyze, understand and gauge customer needs and requirements as they relate to the application of Tiburons products and services.
- Engage in regular business reviews and weekly sales forecast with the sales team.
- Build and foster the sales organization focused on selling to potential customers in their assigned jurisdictions/territories.
- Advocate, lead and manage continuous process improvement initiatives.
