As a Sales Director within our Media practice, you'll sell comScore’s advertising effectiveness research products in order to help our publisher clients resolve pressing business issues while helping drive comScore's explosive growth and industry leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sales Director will support the company's goals through a range of consulting, analytic and business development functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading media solutions work within our Media vertical including selling our unique analyses and research services to online publishers, managing and mentoring team members, and leveraging comScore’s core capabilities to address clients' strategic and tactical marketing challenges. This Sales Director will:
• Build client relationships and drive sales of comScore custom Media solutions, including our advertising effectiveness solutions, per a specified quota within a defined geographic territory
• Develop a set of key accounts related to the Media industry, advertising networks and entertainment firms, publishers and advertising networks by forging solid, strategic relationships with key decision makers at targeted accounts
• Uncover and understand the business needs and challenges of our clients; address these through business analysis, recommendations and ongoing consultation based on our unique information services and ability to assess markets, customers, competitors and prospects
• Contribute to the design and development of new analytical and consulting capabilities
• Communicate project objectives to client service, product management and other internal teams
• Exemplify comScore's tradition of analytical and client service excellence and industry leadership
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of bachelor's degree and 5-7 years professional experience, or advanced degree and 4-5 years' professional experience
• A highly aggressive sales professional with a proven track record of success
• Experience serving the media industry from an online publisher/media company, digital agency, or market research firm strong preferred
• Understanding of market research and how information can be applied to help online publisher clients to achieve their goals
• A high intellect individual who combines analytical excellence, razor-sharp communication skills and an ability to build outstanding client relationships
• Direct experience selling online market research. Specific experience selling advertising effectiveness services highly desired
• A relentless work ethic and a desire to go the extra mile
• Established contacts and relationships within the Media industry are desirable but not required
• A proven track record of success in business development and strategic account development
• A desire to aggressively further business in an innovative, fast-paced and winning company
• Flexibility and ability to work fast under tight deadlines with demanding quality requirements
• Must be expert in all Microsoft Office applications
