Summary
 
Ask.com's Search Marketing division is making significant investments in developing a technology platform to drive innovative solutions to support our production and operational teams including sales, customer support, marketing, finance, and external partners. This is a great opportunity to lead the overall architecture on the design of our back office solutions for the Ask Sponsored Listings PPC marketplace. We are looking for an architect with a view of the 'big picture' for our back office solution and how that solution integrates with our customer facing advertiser portal.  You must be well-experienced in implementing back office integration solutions in C#, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, XML Processing on MSSQL Server.  We are looking for hands on engineer who enjoys working within a fast paced startup type environment.
 
Job Description
 
The primary job responsibility is providing technical, functional /domain leadership and expertise to team of developers in architecting, designing and implementation of solutions that will automate, optimize and improve the back office operations of ASL PPC/SEM business operations.  Architect must pay special attention to overall workflow of our CRM solution and smooth/seamless integrations with supporting support, billing, and contract management systems.  Areas of focus also include Opportunity management (pre-sales), Order management (Sales), Contract Management (Legal), Billing Operations (Finance), lead generation, email (Marketing), and incident management (Customer Service).
 
 
REQUIRED SKILLS (MUST HAVE)
 
Minimum of 5+ experience in:

    * Strong back office integration experience focused on software development. Demonstrable expertise with designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise back office software applications.
    * Hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET,T-SQL, HTML, JavaScript, and XML processing.
    * Experience with CSS, AJAX, JSON, Web Services (SOAP and/or REST).
    * Expert with SQL and relational databases (MS SQL Server required).
    * A focus on the end-user experience
    * Demonstrable ability to communicate technical information clearly in oral and written formats

 
PREFERRED SPECIFIC DOMAIN/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

    * RightNow CRM Solution Implementation experience (Strong preference)
    * PPC/SEM Operations domain (Strong Preference)
    * Back office business functions
