Position Responsibilities



  • QA programmer will be working with other senior QA engineers to design, create, document, implement and maintain an automated framework to run test scripts for complex on-demand functionality.

  • Should be self directed, team oriented, and be willing to interact with multiple team members to achieve your project assignments.

  • This position requires healthy doses of initiative and flexibility in a very dynamic environment.

  • Should like to break things, be exhilarated when you discover that really complicated bug, and be detail-oriented enough that you've actually had people comment on it. Your focus will be to replace repetitive manual testing by automation suites and generate daily, weekly and monthly reports to support our certification process.

  • Should be comfortable with initial manual testing of new features, so you have the understanding to correctly architect and implement the automation afterwards.

  • Must be familiar with how to automate testing Flash and Flex applications.

  • Will need to identify missing test cases and refine existing scripts for modularity and automation purposes, estimate and prioritize work for optimal risk mitigation and identify suitable regression suites.


Skills (Must haves – do not submit your resume if you don't meet these requirements):



  • Able to create HTML pages manually and access all DOM elements using javascript.

  • Working knowledge of programming languages eg. Java, Perl, Phyton.

  • Strong organizational skills, written and oral communication / presentation skills and problem solving skills.

  • Good programming knowledge to use in an automation framework – e.g. Java, Perl, Python.

  • Strength in various testing tools: Selenium, WebDriver, JMeter. Fit/FitNesse, SoapUI, Watir or similar.

  • Strong Delivery and Client Management skills.

  • Able to build clear, concise, and complete test-related documentation as necessary.

  • Familiarity in configuration of virtualization products such as VMWare is a plus.


Experience:



  • Proven experience testing commercial Flash / Flex applications.

  • Experience in testing J2EE applications / JBoss / JDBC / JSP / Servlets / JSON / XML / HTML / CSS / JS / etc.

  • Experience in working with Oracle / verifying data / running stored procedures / checking SQL / configuration / etc.

  • Automation experience, including experience in setting up frameworks.

  • Experience in working with JUnit, HTTPUnit, etc.

  • Experience with bug tracking systems – e.g. JIRA, PVCS Tracker.

  • Experience with source code control systems – e.g. SVN, CVS, SourceSafe, ClearCase.

  • Proven experience creating test cases using the Selenium API (not just IDE).

  • Experience in internationalization / localization is a plus.
